Djamalang
Djamalang is a Dharawal word for platypus. A unique, beautiful and mysterious animal. I’m lucky to live not too far from a river that’s home to many of them.
This piece features a platypus on the hunt. When under water they hunt with their eyes and ears closed and rely on electroreception to locate prey with their very sensitive bills.
