PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
These workshops are specially designed for Preschool & Primary School for
children and educators. Our workshops are tailored to be age appropriate
depending on the group we are working with. Art experiences can vary based on
the current interests of the children, the facilitator attending and the time of year
booked. We offer the following workshops:

● An Introduction to Aboriginal Art Workshop
In workshop children and educators will learn how contemporary Aboriginal Art came to be and how it is more than just dots.
This workshop is suitable for ages 4yrs to primary. Unfortunately we cannot cater
for younger age groups.
We recommend groups of 20 - 30 max to get maximum enjoyment from the
session.
Price for 1 hour session:

● Dance and Movement Workshop
In this workshop children and educators will learn the importance of traditional and ceremonial Aboriginal Dance and how dances and movements played an important role in the spirituality of our culture.
This workshop is suitable for ages 4yrs to primary. Unfortunately we cannot cater
for younger age groups.
Price for 1.5 hour session:
We recommend groups of 20 - 30 max to get maximum enjoyment from the
session.

● Bush Tucker Workshop
In this workshop children and educators will learn about native Australian plants through Art. Through Art they will get to explore the plants and their uses in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context.
This workshop is suitable for ages 4yrs to primary. Unfortunately we cannot cater
for younger age groups.
We recommend groups of 20 - 30 max to get maximum enjoyment from the
session.
Price for 1 hour session:
$400 plus GST
● An Evening with the Artist Session
This ADULTS ONLY session is a chance for educators to spend time with esteemed artist, Garry Purchase.
Garry will share his story and life’s journey that led him to a career in art.
Participants will then have the opportunity to ask Garry questions and seek his
opinion around Aboriginal Art & Culture in the education setting.
Price for 1.5 hour session:
$375 plus GST
